Anthony Otero is an accomplished Human Resources professional who holds a Master of Science in Labor Relations and a Bachelor's degree from Baruch College, part of the City University of New York. With over a decade of HR experience in the healthcare sector, Anthony has played a pivotal role in large, prestigious Academic Medical Centers, including NewYork-Presbyterian and Mass General Brigham. His expertise also extends to over fifteen years of dedicated service within the non-profit sector.
Throughout his career, Anthony has advanced through a spectrum of HR roles, particularly specializing in recruitment before progressing to employee and labor relations. As a trained Labor Relations Specialist, HR Business Partner, and Senior HR Business Partner, Anthony has demonstrated his adeptness in handling complex HR functions and labor negotiations.
Anthony is particularly noted for his hands-on experience in high-stakes negotiation settings, successfully representing employers at the bargaining table with major unions such as 1199 SEIU and the New York State Nursing Association. His negotiation style—a blend of both strategic science and nuanced art—favors a collaborative method, striving for outcomes that benefit all parties, whether it's for labor contracts, salary discussions, or budgetary negotiations.
Complementing his extensive practical experience, Anthony has fortified his HR expertise with a SHRM-SCP certification and a certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from Cornell University. His commitment to continual learning and professional development is a testament to his dedication to excellence in the field of Human Resources and Labor Relations.
